BONE ASH: Ca₃(PO₄)₂

Ca₃(PO₄)₂ It has a chemical formula. Bone Chine is the raw material found in bone porcelain, which we know as porcelain. It is also used in some glaze recipes. Bovine leg bone is first powdered and processed by turning into ash after being purified in magnetic separators. At least 37% bone ash is used in Bone China porcelains. It gives light transmittance and strength to porcelain. Bone China porcelains were first produced in England at the end of the 18th century. It has attracted all the people of the world, including the noble families of Europe, with the pure appearance and soft texture of transparency and has earned a permanent place for itself as the highest quality porcelain variety.

Bone China Porcelain Recipe

35% Noodle Calcium Phosphate (please take in to account the moisture content)

25% Feldspar (Maximum 5% retained on a 45 micron sieve)

15% OKA or AK Prime Kaolin

10% Existing Kaolin

3% Ukraine Clay

2% Bentonite

4% Wollastonite

6% Quartz (63 or 45 micron with the 45 micron better)
